Played more than 40 games with Panama’s national team, scoring 14 goals… In 2007, was selected to the Panama National Team to play two friendly games against Mexico, September 9, and Venezuela, September 12.
PROFESSIONAL
Started his professional career in 1996 with teams in Central America and Europe... In 2007, scored three goals in 13 games (eight starts) and 696 minutes of play with the Colorado Rapids (MLS)... Was released from the Rapids on July 14… Joined the Impact on July 30, for the remainder of the 2007 season… Played eight games (three as starter) for a total of 376 minutes… Started his first game August 16 in California, scoring his first goal with the Impact… Also tallied two assists for a total of four points… In the playoffs, tallied one goal and one assist in the first game of the quarterfinal series against the Puerto Rico Islanders, on September 14… In 2008, ended the regular season as leading scorer of the Impact with four goals and four assists, for 12 points in 14 games (965 minutes)… After missing nine, tallied one goal and two assists in the game on June 22 against the Carolina RailHawks at Saputo Stadium… His goal was the 300th Impact goal in history scored at home… In the Nutrilite Canadian Championship, scored two goals, notably the tying goal against the Toronto FC on July 22 at BMO Field that helped the Impact qualify to the CONCACAF Champions League… Scored four goals in eight games in the CONCACAF Champions League… Scored twice in a 2-1 victory against CD Olimpia, October 1st in Honduras… Added a third goal against CD Olimpia in a 1-1 tie, October 21 in Montreal, a result that qualified the Impact for the quarterfinal round… Also scored one goal against Santos Laguna in a 5-2 loss in Torreon, Mexico, on March 5.
2009 SEASON
Accepted a one-year contract on January 12, 2009… Established several personal records with the Impact, playing 25 matches, including 17 on the starting lineup (1,568 minutes)… Tallied seven goals and three assists for 17 points, finishing the regular season as leading scorer of the club for a second straight year … Scored the game-tying goal August 4 in a 1-1 tie in the friendly match against CA River Plate… Won his first playoff championship with the Impact while being a starter during all six matches (512 minutes), earning two goals and as many passes…Won the Most Valuable Player award of the Championship final, after tallying one goal and one assist during the return game against the Vancouver Whitecaps, October 17, at Saputo Stadium… On February 3, 2010, the Impact announced his return for the 2010 season. |
